Ministry of Tourism, Maldives

last scrape: partialpriority 15

URL: https://www.tourism.gov.mv/en/registered/facilities
Dataset type / access: registry · file-download

Records collected: 177 (run) · 965 field values · 1 documents
License / terms: Public government registry data; terms not formally published.
Raw archive: data/raw/tourism
Processing script: scripts/scrape/tourism.ts
Known limitations: Registered tourist resorts (CSV export, ingested 2026-06-12): name, island, rooms, beds, operator, owner and operating state. Authoritative for current resort operation; resort entries sometimes span multiple islets, matched best-effort to registry islands. Guesthouses/hotels/vessels not yet ingested.

Census 2022

Maldives Population & Housing Census 2022

Maldives Bureau of Statistics

last scrape: successpriority 20

URL: https://census.gov.mv/2022/
Dataset type / access: statistical · file-download
Last scrape: 2026-06-11 06:36:15
Records collected: 389 (run) · 1,110 field values · 26 documents
License / terms: Official statistics; free reuse with attribution.
Raw archive: data/raw/mbs
Processing script: scripts/scrape/mbs.ts
Known limitations: Island-level tables cover administrative islands only; resorts/industrial islands are aggregated separately. Registry policy: the published census is the verified primary source for population values; StatsMap (same publisher) is treated as a derived visualisation that may lag it.

MBS StatsMap

MBS StatsMap (GIS population map)

Maldives Bureau of Statistics

Government of Maldives (heritage/encyclopedic site)

last scrape: successpriority 50

Dataset type / access: encyclopedic · scrape-html
Last scrape: 2026-06-11 06:36:32

License / terms: Public government website; terms not formally published.
Raw archive: data/raw/atollsofmaldives
Processing script: scripts/scrape/atolls.ts
Known limitations: Historical/encyclopedic archive. The site platform dates to 2013 and the last observable record update is August 2024; many island entries are far older. Island status, use and ownership (resort, agricultural and industrial leases) may have changed since publication. Valuable for history, environment notes and Dhivehi names.
